Find your way below decks with this Lower Decks puzzle guide!

Early in Act 1 of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader , an altercation involving your trusted Seneschal Abelard will have you sent to the Lower Decks of your ship to solve a potential mutiny. While down there you might notice that once you finish your business between Abelard and the workers, you can interact with a variety of valves scattered around the area. You’ll also probably notice, very quickly, that you can’t just turn any valve you want.

If you’re having trouble with this valve puzzle then have no fear! In this guide we’ll be going over the solution to this puzzle to save you some time and get you a nice chunk of XP and items.

1. Manometer and First Valve

After deciding the fate of the workers you’ll be free to explore the area. If you head further in you should see a manometer that requires Tech-Use to use. Once you do that you should be able to turn the valve underneath it.

2. Second Valve

The next valve you want to turn can be found on the west side of the map, close to where you entered the area.

3. Third Valve

The third valve can be found right near the second one. There will be two valves in this area, you want the one that’s not down the stairs.

4. Fourth Valve

The fourth valve can be found all the way to the east in a side room. Go to the back of the room and you should see the valve. There are two in this area, but you want the one in the center of the room.

5. Fifth Valve

The fifth valve can be found right outside the room with the previous valve. There are two valves in this area. You want the one on the right side of the door.

6. The Loot

After that the loot should appear right next to you. After unlocking the loot, you’ll get 3 Force Grenades, a Krak Grenade, 3 Melta Charges, and 3 Multi Keys. All useful items when exploring the galaxy. Not to mention you’ll also get a good amount of XP for your efforts.
