I started testing out the MP510 mouse pad last weekend, and it’s been fun giving it a trial run. It sports a comfortable cloth exterior with intricately stitched edging complemented by a sweet glow in the dark logo.
The MP510 is part of the new Master Accessory series by Cooler Master. The lineup is hailed as quality gear for superior gaming performance. Let’s put that to the test.

Unboxing
We start with the grand unboxing! Like much of the Cooler Master product lineup, the MP510 features the same sexy packaging. The design is very pleasing to the eye with plenty of breathing room for all the elements, and the perfect font combination. Shout out to the design team at Cooler Master!
There’s a little sticker holding the box together. I slit it with my box cutter and the rolled up mouse pad slides right out.
And… it’s beautiful! Sure it’s a mousepad, but it just feels very nice. It’s a simple design with just a small logo in the top right hand corner, but that’s all you need. And Cooler Master went above and beyond with the exquisite stitching pattern that wraps all the way ‘round the pad. I set it down next to my keyboard.
This mousepad is huge! It takes up about a quarter of my large desk! It’s as big as my full size keyboard! When ordering the mousepad I was given the option of medium, large, or extra large. The sizes are in millimeters, which I don’t use on a regular basis. Assuming the middle size would be appropriate, I went ahead with that one. But I was not expecting this. I can see the large size as useful on a case by case basis, but the medium or extra large would have suited my needs much better. Ah well.
Moving on, I begin testing its performance. My mouse glides over the pad with ease. I launch open Fortnite to see how it fairs. No problem at all. Shooting is extra sharp and moving about the map proves no challenge. Where my palm rests down beside my mouse, I feel the textured sensation of the gaming-optimized microscopic mesh. Through the course of my gameplay there is no discomfort or unpleasant sensations. In fact, it actually feels really nice! That’s not something I expected given that most mats are a soft mesh, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Cooler Master put a lot of thought into this mat, and it shows.
Mousepad Masterpiece?
Comfort is incredibly important in the gaming accessory space. People often play for hours on end, and that’s only feasible if the setup is enjoyable. While this line may be new, Cooler Master has many years expertise in the gaming industry, and they applied their knowledge well.
I’ve played on this mat for hours without any issues. I’ve emailed, surfed the web, and gamed extensively while testing it out. And it performs. I don’t know that I can give a better description than that. Yeah it’s just a mousepad, but it’s a mousepad that plays its part well.
As for features? The logo glows in the dark as it should, albeit somewhat dimly. The microscopic mesh exterior is a lot of fun, and it captures the movement of the mouse down to a microscopic nudge. This is incredibly important for gamers, and Cooler Master nailed it.
In terms of splash resistance, Cooler Master rocks it there as well. In fact, it’s incredibly durable in almost all aspects! The stitching is tight and securely bound. The natural rubber base captures the surface of my desk and hasn’t moved an inch since I set it down. Cooler Master set out to craft a mousepad that’s a cut above the rest. And so they did.
Overall, the MP510 was a joy to use. It performed better than expected whether in-game or during casual use. Hell yeah!
The biggest frustration I had was with the size. Yes, my error for not choosing the correct size for my setup. But in terms of design, including the design of sales listings, I believe responsibility lies with the designer. The specifications should have been clearer, and they weren’t. While Cooler Master is a global company, their support team ought to have translated measurements to American standards if they’re selling in the US.
I’ve listed the item measurements in inches so the same thing doesn’t happen to you. And assuming you do pick the correct size, you’re sure to enjoy your new mousepad.
