HyperX is announcing the release of the new white HyperX Cloud Stinger Core wireless gaming headset. It features a 2.4GHz wireless connection and is powered by 40mm drivers designed to produce clear mids and highs, as well as an impactful bass. The headset is cordless, sporting a range of 12 meters and a battery life of up to 17 hours (this particular figure was tested at 50% volume).
The console products business manager at HyperX, Andrew Ewing, elaborated on the headset’s design and aesthetics. “The Cloud Stinger Core wireless gaming headset offers users a stylish white color scheme that delivers the comfort and style inherent in HyperX products.”
The Cloud Stinger core has a lightweight design of 275 grams, soft earcup cushions, and is compatible with both PCs and the PS4. Usability features include volume controls on the earcup, a swivel-to-mute noise-canceling microphone, and adjustable steel sliders. It’s available for $79.99 MSRP on HyperX’s online shop. It also goes without saying that COVID-19 could potentially affect shipping and distribution.
“HyperX strives to bring reliable and affordable gaming products that offer the best experience for console gamers,” said Ewing. Compared to similar products on Amazon, the Cloud Stinger Core falls roughly into the mid-range in terms of its price point.
