Warhammer 40k: Darktide is a grimdark slog through endless hordes of baddies, but with none of the thrill. This game is a clunky mess, proving once again that developers think "grimdark" means "poorly lit and poorly coded." The storyline is as engaging as reading a grocery list, and the characters? A joke. Characters are flatter than a squashed goblin, and the environments are as repetitive as a dwarf's beard braids. If you enjoy grinding for gear that barely makes a difference, then boy, is this the game for you! The only thing darker than the game's atmosphere is the void where its replay value should be. If you fancy drudgery and disappointment, dive in.
