What New Products is RØDE Launching?
Let’s jump into what RØDE X is exactly and all of their new products!
RØDE X – New Subdivision of RØDE
The first thing for us to discuss is RØDE X itself. This is a new sub-brand of the Australian-based microphone company RØDE. RØDE X has been in development for three years now, and has finally launched in 2022!
One interesting thing to note about RØDE X is its Research & Development department focused solely on gaming and streaming-related products. They’ve been hard at work for a long time now, and they’re finally ready to show off some new toys for us to play with. There are three new pieces of tech for us to discuss today: UNIFY, the XDM-100, and the XDM-50.
1. UNIFY

UNIFY is a new software program that allows users to manage their audio devices with ease. The application is custom-built for gamers and streamers. The app takes up to “six virtual audio sources” of audio such as games and browser apps as well as “four USB microphones” and gathers them all together in one easy-to-manage place.
The app also allows users to micromanage different sound sources such as live streams. With “studio-grade audio processing,” you’ll have a professional setup for managing all of your audio devices while also having access to features like multitrack recording and voice/sound effects.
This product can be purchased for a monthly subscription fee of $5 USD or a yearly subscription fee of $45. However, if you already own at least one RØDE X product, this application will be completely free of charge!
2. XDM-100
Now for the good stuff on our coverage of RØDE X and their new products explained, we have the XDM-100 microphone! This is a specially-made dynamic microphone designed specifically for gamers and streamers. This mic comes with “RØDE’S ultra-low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamp” and 24-bit/48 kHz analog-digital conversion.
It’s an incredibly high-quality microphone that features a “studio-grade dynamic capsule” that makes the audio incredibly smooth and uninterrupted by background noise. The device also includes a “high-quality pop shield and shock mount” to help with any accidental bumps and knocks into your desk. The XDM-100 also comes with “microphone mute functionality.”
If you own the application UNIFY, you’ll be able to use a nose gate and a compressor among other highly useful features. Both the app and a RØDE X microphone are all you’ll ever need to make sure your audio is as high quality as can be.
3. XDM-50
Last but most definitely not least, let’s go over their XDM-50 microphone. Much like the XDM-100 model, it is also designed specifically for gamers and streamers. With a full-frequency response, it gives its users high-quality audio. This model comes with an “integrated 360-degree swing mount” to make getting your microphone in just the right spot as easy as can be.
It comes with a mute button as well as level control to make ease of use even better. And with its “internal pop shield and capsule shock mount” it will stay safe from any bumps and knocks on your desk. Using the application UNIFY, you can gain access to highly advanced audio processing that will give you a noise gate and a compressor, among other features for making sure all your audio is top-notch.
