Born in April of 1987, the 32 year old Twitch streamer Summit1G started his streams with his favorite at game at the time, CS:GO. Having the skills and the determination, Summit1G managed to join many professional games and competed at some very high levels. Jumping from team Torqued in 2015 to team Mythic in early 2017, despite his embarrassing defeat at the DreamHack Open in Austin, Summit1G was showing his abilities to the world. It was actually his streaming of the ESC Qualifiers with Mythic that gave him his initial boost in popularity.
However, like most things, Summit1G’s time with the CS:GO competitive play had to come to an end. After staying with Team Mystic up until mid of 2017, Summit1G decided that his audience wasn’t growing and, despite his best efforts, the game was losing its charm. Looking out into the world for something more interesting, Summit1G found his way into the realm of other competitive games such as Overwatch, Apex Legends, and even Fortnite.
Growing even more with the inclusion of these games, Summit1G took a look outside of the world of competitive gaming, and found something that truly expanded his Twitch presence more than he could’ve anticipated. Insert GTA V. Currently taking the majority of his stream time, GTA V has become the game most associated with Summit1G since his time with CS:GO. So ingrained in the world of GTA V is Summit1G that he sits at the top as the #1 most watched GTA V channel.
