At the top of his game, Ettnix showcased a proficiency that was virtually unmatched by any other professional Fortnite players. In late 2018, he held 3^rd place for the most kills in game, but reached that number through far fewer matches than those above him. He accomplished this impressive statistic by utilizing a playstyle that focused on mid-to-close range combat and extensive building to gain height advantages over enemies.

His keybinds don’t step too far outside the norm, aside from pairing the wall and stair builds to his mouse keys, potentially allowing for a quicker response time when building. His current keyboard and mouse combo have been a staple for his play since he first jumped into the competitive scene, and shows a dedication to specific equipment and builds that have so far allowed him to play at an elite level.

Since he has dropped off from the competitive scene in this last year, there isn’t as much visibility into his current playstyle or methodology, but he has remained consistent with his keybinds and pc build. It’s yet to be seen if he’ll make any changes if/when he decides to make a comeback and either join a team or any of the 2020 live tournaments.

Unfortunately, his proficient playstyle and leadership wouldn’t end up lasting, when in late 2018, Fnatic announced that they would be mutually parting ways with Ettnix. There have been assumptions that this was due to several inappropriate comments while streaming under the team brand, but nothing official has ever come to light.

In this last year, Ettnix has seemingly stepped away from professional play and has been primarily focusing on streaming, often switching between multiple titles, rather than just Fortnite. While he has made mention of wanting to team up with other players for tournaments or potentially sign with a team, it doesn’t seem like much of a priority for him at this time.
