Dr DisRespect is known to be an aggressive player that takes risks for entertainment and to play into the attitude of his on-screen character. When playing Fortnite, his focus often isn’t to win, but to make as much damage as possible and always be on the attack, which is showcased in his key bind setup, that leaves weapons associated with numerical keys and building assigned to keys within reach of individual fingers.

While Dr DisRespect’s Fortnite stats aren’t anything incredible, his streaming setup and gaming peripherals absolutely are. His gaming PC is a pre-built ROG GT51 that includes a custom built ASUS Motherboard, an overclocked Intel Core i7 6700K processor and two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080’s. He adds on to this incredible display with a similarly powerful prebuilt ASUS ROG Strix GD30CI streaming PC, which is equipped with the same processor, a custom built motherboard and one NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080.

All of this equipment is built to be powerful enough to handle any game, any settings at any time, while capturing high quality streams that showcase the capabilities of the ROG GT51. Still, Dr DisRespect typically keeps most video settings at the mid-tier range, only allowing for a greater view distance to be set at a higher resolution.

His meteoric rise on the streaming scene would eventually culminate in him winning the 2017 eSports Industry Award for Streamer of the Year. His success was somewhat short lived when he revealed to his audience in December that same year that he would be taking a break. Known for keeping his streaming and personal life separate, he revealed that he had cheated on his wife and would be stepping away to focus on his family.

Two months later he was back on Twitch, with his wife launching her own channel as Mrs Assassin. Guy would attribute that his wife joining him in streaming was a big part of what saved their marriage, and that he wishes they had done it sooner. Since then, Dr DisRespect has continued to stream, gain sponsorships and build his brand without much trouble. The only issue that has arisen since was when he decided to live stream from a bathroom stall at E3 2019, which violated Twitch’s streaming guidelines. He would be subsequently banned from the Expo and receive a short-term ban on Twitch, which has since been removed.

Now heading into 2020, Dr DisRespect is possibly the biggest eSports streamer currently on Twitch, with Ninja leaving the platform in mid-2019. It’s yet to be seen where he’ll continue to take his career, but no matter what it’ll most likely be risky, aggressive and entertaining.
